Hi, I just came across a proposal to remove the tear-off menu feature in GTK. Whilst generally none of our business how up-stream tool-kits alter their UI - outside of its programming interface, I was just wondering if anyone actually used the feature?
I "think" I've used it before with PCB, to have some menus permanently open, and within easy reach. I don't feel so strongly about it to cause a fuss - and since I don't actively use the feature regularly, I'd probably be seen as trolling anyway.. opposing change for the sake of opposing change. If anyone _does_ use the feature, and would miss it.. here is the bug report where it is discussed: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=597904 At the meeting, there was no opposition to its removal, so is probably destined for oblivion in GTK 3.0. Speak now - or loose it. (Might loose it anyway of course!) Best wishes, Peter C. _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
