Sounds like something might be attempting to with with the board before the GUI is up - but in order to click the menu... it should be. Do you have a board loaded? The first error message could be a red-herring of course. DJ - could this be related to some of the issues Patrick Bernaurd identified in his code-review on geda-dev. I believe one was segfault related: - in action Attributes(), elements with no name have to be detected: running the action on such an element makes PCB crash on the strlen(NAMEONPCB_NAME(e)).
