How old are the ones that are for example in Debian? One friend has just recently told me he did apt-get install pcb and got version 1.99j (I have 1.99p which is PCB 20040530) (indeed - those 1.99 versions seem to be incremented :) ) which must be pretty old (when I count letteres from j to p).
