as a normal user can you view the element files by doing something like cat /usr/local/share/pcb/newlib/2_pin_thru-hole_packages/0.125W_Carbon_Resistor ? Also can you run /usr/local/share/pcb/ListLibraryContents.sh /usr/local/share/pcb/m4 pcblib and get a fairly long output that starts with: TYPE=~TTL 74xx DIL 7400_dil:N:7400:4 dual-NAND 7401_dil:N:7401:4 dual-NAND OC 7402_dil:N:7402:4 dual-NOR 7403_dil:N:7403:4 dual-NAND OC 7404_dil:N:7404:6 inverters ? -Dan --
