When you single-click into a cell then the cell content is selected When you double-click into a cell then the cell content is in edit mode.
However you still can't double-click and then shift to the right char inside the cell to be e. g. overwritten. You have to position the cursor exactly behind the char (which is annoying). At least I didn't find any other alternative. If such doesn't exist I suggest this behaviour to be changed, if possible. Cl<
