Well, I still think that the text elements "7404" are not values. If you have a resistor it is pretty easy to see that it is a resistor. The text element describe the meaning of the symbol. The value of the device can still be LS, HC, ALS, ABT or whatever. Putting the value into a value attribute will lead to the intented output, for example BOM lists, spice netlists, ...: device value -------------------- resistor 1k 7404 74ABT04 > > I ended up with creating my own symbols.
