gEDA-user: ScriptSim and Icarus

Has anyone tried to use ScriptSim

    http://www.nelsim.com/index.html

with Icarus?  It allows you to connect Python and Perl to verilog
simulations.  What about other ways of doing this?

Also, it seems that icarus.com is down.
