Empirical evidence from the responses in this thread suggest that there is benefit from removing negative emotions when making suggestions or reporting bugs. State the problem or recommendation factually not emotionally. Few positive results will be achieved by using subjective terms like 'crap', 'sucks' and 'stupid' (especially when you are dealing with an unpaid workforce!). -- http://www.luciani.org
