gEDA-user: Select in PCB sometimes doesn't work

Start GTK PCB.
Draw a rectangle in the middle of the screen.
Switch over to select tool (the arrow).
Click on the rectangle. Nothing happens.
Zoom out.
Click on the rectangle again. This time it's selected.
