Hmm, do you happen to know what version of PHP they were running before the "upgrade"? There was a bug in PHP up until version 4.2.0 (I think) that actually prevented nl2br() from working in some circumstances. From the phpinfo() that you posted earlier it seems you are now running on PHP 4.1.2.
