You didn't hear? Geeklog now has self-healing code ;-)

Glad it's working...wished we knew what fixed it.

New information. It now seems to be working, but I'm not sure why as nothing
changed except the data I was working with. Some new events were added
today, one of them needed to be deleted so I tried and it worked. Also tried
to edit and it worked as well. Go figure.

Now, just so you don't start thinking it was just a user error. I am a
programmer, so when things didn't work as I reported I tested what I was
doing to make sure, as best I could, that I was doing what was expected from
the user.

So I'm sure it will remain a mystery, I certainly don't expect anyone to
expend any effort on something that seems to be working. If it stops again
I'll let you know.

Dirk,

Thanks for the reply. We're running version 1.3.9sr2 at the moment. All
other features, at least the ones we've used (it is a new site after all),
seem to be working fine. I am able to add events, just not delete or edit
them. Stories can be added, edited and deleted. So all of the evidence seems
to indicate that we're talking to the database.

Mark,

Is there a way I can set some users
to require approval while others post directly?

Yes: Give them story.submit permissions.

2) Along this same line, is there a way to require multiple approvals before a story is posted?

No.

3) In trying to delete an event the response message said the event was deleted successfully, but it's still there. Try again, same message, same result. What am I missing? I'm logged in as Admin when it happens.

Hmm, works for me. Which Geeklog version is that?

4) Tried to edit an event (NOT the same event I tried to delete) and got an error message that I had not included enough information. I didn't write down the message, but it talked about start/end dates/times,
and location.

Again, works for me ... Which Geeklog version, which theme?

bye, Dirk
