Hi, all First, a caveat for the change I'm about to suggest: There is a problem with the dbus usage in gimp 2.4.6 which causes a new image to be opened in a second/nth instance of gimp rather than the original one when `gimp` is used instead of `gimp-remote`. That said… In the editors, `gimp-remote` should change to just `gimp` at some point. `gimp-remote` is deprecated, and will not be built by default in 2.6.x. That said, as the fix for the dbus problem isn't in 2.4.6, I think this change should wait until 2.4.7 (or 2.6.0) is released.
Also, launching editors doesn't work for directories (or files?) with spaces or other shell-special characters (like single-quotes) in them. This likely means that filenames in commands aren't being properly escaped before being passed to the shell to be launched. --xsdg ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Geeqie-devel mailing list Geeqie-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geeqie-devel
