i tried to reproduce the issue on the same platform (Ubuntu 8.10 on 32-bit PC with lcms and without exiv2), but i can't get it to segfault as it does for you. What is the content of your geeqierc file ? Did you try to save your .geeqie to some location and start over geeqie (forcing it to restart on default configuration) ?
