If you think it's ok, that's definitely fine by me.

The zoom level problem should be fixed in libchamplain as soon as
clutter 1.0 gets released.

The segmentation fault - I don't know. To me this is actually not as
serious as it sounds, as a user will not generally insert GPS Map into
the sidebar, remove it and then re-insert it. If I'm not using the map I
just disable the markers and minimise the map.

[There is a small problem with the sidebar - inserting a new item, or a
just single right-click on an empty area, causes the window layout to
revert to the default setting.]

Other map problems at the moment are:
1. I cannot get rid of the vertical adjuster bar on the map without
affecting scroll-wheel functionality
2. There are no equivalent menu entries for the mouse functions (as
required by the accessibility guidelines)
3. The vertical dimension of the map cannot be changed using the mouse.

These are not too important to me, but if anyone finds the map useful
and would like the above problems solved, I'm happy to try to do that.

But otherwise I'll continue working on what I set out to do at the start
- to geocode photos by drag-and-drop on a map, and implement a search
within a radius function.
