So, if now i hosted that image on a different hosting - are there
chances this bug will be looked up/fixed or it will be ignored anyway

I tested, no segfault here.
Can you post your geeqie config file (~/.config/geeqie/geeqierc.xml) ?
Please don't post such image in public ml or bug tracker, next time
as me directly first.
