Hi,

I would like to make a feature request for geeqie.

I have a huge photo collection (170K of pictures), separated
in directories. But each directory has a lot of pictures itself.
When I do, say:

        geeqie dir1/img1.jpg dir2/img2.jpg dir3/img3.jpg

it takes a long time to open, about 6-8 seconds, despite the
fact that I am opening just 3 images and my computer is fast.

The problem seems to be that geeqie tries to sort the contents
of dir1, despite the fact that I could not care less about dir1
content (I already have several scripts that handle my pictures).

I still use gqview 2.1.5 because of this geeqie issue, since I
patched gqview to sort only when there is one positional parameter
AND it is a directory. Speed is my #1 concern.

So this is precisely my feature request: the LIST of images should
be the images you pass to geeqie, and not the content of the first
directory (unless you pass just one directory).

    Thanks!!

        L.
