I've just started trying to make active use of geeqie in place of gqview
as I just upgrade my workstation to Fedora 14 and I've hit a problem.
Shortly before development on gqview stopped I approached the developers
to add a feature I needed to the software. This feature is to allow a
number of directory names to be passed on the command line so that the
slideshow feature shows each image in each of the directories in turn.
For instance:
dirA:
image01.jpg image02.jpg image03.jpg
dirB:
image01.jpg image02.jpg image03.jpg
dirC:
image01.jpg
and you then invoke gqview with:
gqview dirA dirC dirB
and it will give you a slideshow of:
dirA/image01.jpg
dirA/image02.jpg
dirA/image03.jpg
dirC/image01.jpg
dirB/image01.jpg
dirB/image02.jpg
dirB/image03.jpg
This feature was I think in both 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 development releases
but may or may not have made it to any production release.
Is there any chance we could get this added to geeqie so I can
transition my code (http://wacsip.sourceforge.net) to using geeqie
instead of gqview?
Please let me know if this is possible... it seems to me like a feature
that would be useful to many.
Cheers,
Beaky.
