Hi,

Here is a follow-up of my sorting problem and strange charset in Exif
Comment.

I was using Geeqie 1.0b2 (Ubuntu 10.04LTS 64bits). I decided to compile
the latest Geeqie, 1.0. I removed Geeqie and Geeqie common and
installed the new compiled 1.0.

Compare to Geeqie 1.0b2:
- I lost my alphabetical sort order (123a.jpg now comes BEFORE 123.jpg)
- A lot of my pictures now have an Exif User Comment unreadable, using
  a chinese charset.

So, version 1.0 changed these two behavior but I don't understand why...

To start Geeqie I use export LC_COLLATE=C;geeqie to solve my sorting
problem.

But, for my charset problem, I have to rewrite my Exif.UserComment.
It's like if the first try the type of charset was not taken in
account, Geeqie 1.0b2 was showing the comments OK but Exiv2 ou XnView
where not. NOw with 1.0, if I rewrite the comment using Niccolo
Rigacci's python script, the comment is OK everywhere.

I hope to understand one day the changes in behavior ;-)

Raymond
