I got it from Arch Linux's repository [2].  Installation through their
package management works fine and does not produce any errors.  I have
just reinstalled to verify this.

It's also not the fvwm setup: I have just removed all fvwm
configuration and restarted it with its default settings.  Same
result.

Hmmm, it started with my last upgrade of geeqie, but I don't want to
jump to conclusions...

Any ideas how I could find out what causes this?
