Github uses two completely different outgoing infrastructures for such mails. The one is just fine but the others are tagged in dnswl as Email Marketing Providers. I "missuse" that whitelist as a selective blacklist on my mail system as it is usually very reliable and nothing good is usually coming from any email marketing. But in this case it let github feed themself to my spamfolder. ... Just if you have similar filter and similar problem.
