Ha, just had to install libudev-dev manually... I installed libchamplain-0.12-dev, libclutter-gtk-1.0-dev and libchamplain-gtk-0.12-dev now and enabled via "--enable-gps - --enable-clutter". (Is clutter always needed? Why not just have the gps switch if it is bound to clutter?) Compile and went well but... (geeqie:10413): Gtk-ERROR **: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported :-( So at least under debian, it is not strait forward.
