Hi,

At first glance, it doesn't seem this error has to do with geiser (when
evaluating things under geiser, it's normal that you see traces of its
instrumentation in some errors, even when they originate elsewhere).

But to make sure that's the case: have you tried the same steps in a
REPL started in a terminal? Does it work there?
