BARU SEKARANG dia memutuskan kemitraannya
dengan JP Morgan karena pendapatnya yang berbeda. Saya sama sekali tidak
melihat pemutusan kemitraan dengan JP Morgan SEKARANG  sebagai satu act of
heroism, atau act of sovereignty!! Not at all!! Kalau betul-betul mau
Seperti BK dulu keluar
dari PBB!! Baru itu namanya act of sovereignty, act of heroism, dan menunjukkan
JPMORGAN TO PAY $13 BILLION FOR CAUSING 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS

The financial meltdownin 2008 was not the result of ethereal and enigmatic
forces, it was the resultof fraud in the financial markets.

That truth was initially hidden by politicians, regulators, banks, and the
bought priesthood of mainstream economics. But despite all thelies, the day of
reckoning has finally arrived for one of the world’s mostpowerful corporations,
JPMorgan.

Of course, there won’t be jail time for executives – prison isfor the little
people. But, contrary to some Republicanpresidential candidates, corporations
aren’t people. They are mindless enginesof profit and the only acts of
contrition the machines can output is in theform of paying money and JPMorgan
has already agreed to pay $13 billion for crashing the economy in 2008
throughfraud and greed.

JPMorganChase & Co CEO Jamie Dimon has pleaded with and complained to the
U.S.Justice Department but cannot convince the government to end its criminal
probeof his bank because prosecutors are not yet certain of their findings,
peoplefamiliar with the matter said.

Dimonhas negotiated a tentative $13billion deal to settle many of the U.S.
investigations into mortgage bonds thatJPMorgan – and the banks it bought
during the financial crisis – sold toinvestors.

Finally we are talking about a fine that might sting a little. The previous
fines Wall Street banks have paid have been laughable. But a $13billion fine
would be more than half of JPMorgan’s profit last year. Serious money. Though
apparentlyJPMorgan thinks it might have to pay even more for its wrongdoing.

JPMorganhas set aside a total of $23billion to pay for legal issues, and faces
more than a dozen probesglobally.

What kind of business needs that much money to deal withcriminal investigations
and lawsuits? A criminal enterprise?

The fraudulent mortgage derivatives JPMorgan and other WallStreet banks sold to
investors helped trigger the 2008 financial crisis whenthe fraudulent loans
went bust and no one had enough capital to cover thelosses – despite AIG
providing insurance in the form of credit default swaps onthe mortgage
derivatives. AIG, as we all know now, was incredibly reckless andwas unable to
cover the derivatives it had insured. Ultimately the Too Big To Fail banks
received billions from thetaxpayers with TARP and over a trillion dollars from
the Federal Reserve in theform of secret loans. Nobankruptcies for the banks
but plenty of painful foreclosures for homeownerswho did nothing wrong.

Now JPMorgan inc. is saying sorry the only way a corporation can– paying out
lots of money. But have the banksters learned their lesson?

morgan chase berhak utk downgraded. Ini hasil kajian ekonomi mereka dari
private sector.
Jangan seenak udel main2 sama
Indonesia!Ini pesannya pemerintah Jokowi. Jaman2 dulu gak ada yg berani
beginikan?! Diem saja kan diapa2in sama negara ente?!Sekarang lain dul!!!  Ane
bangga sebagai rakyat kalau pemerintahnya berani melawan negara adi daya
seperti negara ente walaupun skalanya kecil/corporate policy!  Jadi keduanya
tindakan/keputusannya. Yang aneh adalah ente yang mentertawakan Indonesia!

Indonesia puts JPMorgan in the penalty box...for a research report
Posted: Jan 03, 2017 12:01 PM PSTUpdated: Jan 03, 2017 12:02 PM PST  By Matt
Egan NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Officials in Indonesia are a sensitive bunch these
days.JPMorgan Chase downgraded Indonesia's stock market by two notches in
November, citing powerful market forces set off by Donald Trump's election
victory.Indonesia didn't take too well to the demotion, even though the same
research report also downgraded the stock markets of Brazil and Turkey. An
Indonesia official told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday that the country will
ban JPMorgan from being hired as a primary dealer and an underwriter of its
government debt, according to several news reports. Indonesia also indicated
JPMorgan will no longer serve as a bank that receives tax payments to the
government. The Southeast Asian nation explained the decision to punish JPMorgan
by pointing directly to the November research report, which it criticized as
not "accurate or credible.""The institutions with big names have very high
responsibility in creating positive psychology instead of doing [something]
misleading," said Sri Mulyani, Indonesia's finance minister, according to The
Wall Street Journal.JPMorgan, which has substantial business interests in
Indonesia, said it is working with the country's Ministry of Finance to
"resolve the matter," and that its business there "continues to operate as
usual."JPMorgan's ties to Indonesia go back a long way. The bank opened its
first branch in Indonesia under the Chase Manhattan brand in 1968. Since 2012,
JPMorgan has served as an underwriter on nearly $14 billion worth of Indonesian
government bond sales, including $3.4 billion last year, according to
Dealogic.Indonesia's retaliation against JPMorgan appears to be aimed at
stifling criticism, even from firms that have a duty to provide unbiased
research to their clients."It makes me uncomfortable when I see a government
trying to influence independent analysts," said Win Thin, head of emerging
market currency strategy at investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman."It's
pretty thin skinned for Indonesia to do that and a little silly. It shows you
how sensitive policymakers can be," he said. The November 13 research report
from JPMorgan lowered the bank's rating on Indonesia to "underweight" from
"overweight.""There are losers from Trumponomics," the report
warned.Ironically, JPMorgan's assessment of Indonesia's economy was actually
quite positive, saying it is "improving," and that investors will "get a better
buying opportunity."The analysts said the downgrade was caused by a combination
of the Trump election and rising U.S. rates, which tend to hurt emerging
markets.Like other emerging markets, Indonesia did take a hit after Trump's
victory. The MSCI Indonesia index plunged as much as 12% after the U.S.
election. However, Indonesian stocks have since rebounded and the stock market
is now just 5% below its Election Day level. Overall, the Indonesian market
rose 12% last year, outperforming emerging markets broadly."I'm not sure why
Indonesia is so nervous. It's actually held up pretty well," said Thin.TM & ©
