Gedongkuning, Yogyakarta. The food stall – which only opens on Fridays – was established in September 2014 by Yuniana Oktoviati. The 33-year-old said she only wanted to share with the poor people, especially since the cost of living is rising. Poor people began to flock to her food stall at 12 p.m. to get a free meal of rice and vegetables with chicken, fish or eggs and hot tea. The menu varies every week. Yuniana provides between 120 and 150 portions per week. Each poor person gets one free meal. [yan]
