Februari* masih*527 orang*; (Total *terjangkit: 79251* kasus;
*Meninggal: 2835 orang*; *Sembuh: 39002 orang*) di tgl. *02 Maret*
penambahan pasien baru**sudah menurun jadi*125 orang*, (TOTAL
*terjangkit: 80151* kasus; *Meninggal: 2943 orang*; *Sembuh: 47204 orang*)
Sebaliknya penambahan pasien baru Covid-19 diluar Tiongkok justru makin
melanjak tinggi, khususnya di Korea Selatan, Italy dan Iran, ... juga di
Amerika sendiri cukup mengkawatirkan!

Alasan kenapa banyak negara tidak mau/bisa mendiagnose coronavirus?
Barangkali, *Indonesia juga kurang "test kits" nya seperti di Amerika*
dan juga masih mahal utk melakukan test utk virus yg baru ini utk
penduduk.

As of today, China is capable of doing 1.6 million tests on the virus
a week. Even Korea has done tests on 65,000 people so far. America?
Less than 500.

The US government has not shown any interest whatsoever in tracking
the spread of the virus in the US and it has made it quite clear that
it is not paying for the tests, which might cost a US citizen upwards
of $3000 without insurance cover.
Sampai hari ini AS baru mempunyai test kits utk 75000 orang.
How is the US reaction to the spread of the covid-19 different from

In response to COVID19, China made the ultimate sacrifice in terms of
the cost to its economy, to put cities in complete lockdown, and with
the cooperation of the entire nation, practically put the whole
country in self-imposed quarantine. The aim is not just to curb the
spread of the virus within China, but also to protect the rest of the
world. China has literally moved mountains in mobilising all its
available resources, dispatching tens of thousands of medical
personnel to Wuhan from other provinces, building an emergency
hospital in ten days and moving tremendous amounts of medical
machinery and supplies into Wuhan. An army of volunteering local
citizens organised themselves to help distribute these supplies and
make daily rounds in the city to check on the citizens. They have
devised delivery systems for daily necessities which minimise human
contacts. I dare say no other country in the world would have the
sheer will and resources to accomplish a feat like this. For those
predicting the collapse of CCP as a result of COVID19, I’ve got to
say, sorry to disappoint, China and its people will emerge even more
united when this is over.
While the Chinese medical personnel and scientists are working
tirelessly (most of them have not seen their family for weeks) to
fight the virus and to map out its entire genome, the US is busy
engaging in their national sport of China-bashing. What’s a better
time to kick China when she’s down? “Jobs will flow back to the US,
blah blah blah”. The media in the rest of the Western world chimed in.
Trolls in quora work overtime to spread ridiculous rumours thinly
guised as legitimate questions, such as:
“Did China intentionally spread the corona virus:
1. to cull its old and weak population;
2. as a means of genocide of the Uighurs;
3. to quell the riots in Hong Kong;
4. use your imagination, fill in the blank.“
Or Could it be a bioweapon program gone horribly wrong?
Personally I wouldn’t even dignify these vile and malicious rumours
with an answer.
So apart from all these mockery, ridicule, fear mongering, what has
the US done in terms of improving its preparedness for an outbreak of
COVID19? It ranges from not much to nothing. The world has been so
quick to put a label on the virus as “Wuhan virus” or “China virus”,
people have been misled into a sense of complacency. People view it as
a Chinese problem and by closing their borders to China, the problem
is solved. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way. A contagious disease does
not discern races or recognise man-made borders, a fact that is
especially amplified by the mobility of people in this day and age. So
weeks or even months of precious time is wasted. It seems that no one
has seriously asked the question “what if this outbreak happens in our
country?”
As of today, China is capable of doing 1.6 million tests on the virus
a week. Even Korea has done tests on 65,000 people so far. America?

commented on who will pay for quarantines ordered by them.

US senators have asked the CDC to persuade manufacturers of test kits
to lower their price. The answer from CDC is no, the government has no
such right. It’s a free market. The manufacturer of the test kits will
refuse to produce if they can’t make a profit. Universal healthcare
doesn’t sound so crazy now, does it?
Why is the Trump administration downplaying the threat of COVID19? I
see the logic now. 12,000+ US citizens have died from the flu during
the current flu season since October 2019 (compared to 2,870 deaths in
China from COVID19). The flu and COVID19 have overlapping symptoms. If
you don’t test for the COVID19 virus, there will be no new confirmed
cases of COVID19. The number of confirmed cases would likely hover in
two digits, while more and more people are contracting the virus every
day, just like what this guy is ranting about.
The majority will only develop mild symptoms and recover, like they
recover from the flu. Some will develop viral pneumonia and won’t make
it. But all these undisclosed COVID19 cases can be attributed to the flu.
There is really no upside for the Trump administration to find out and
acknowledge the true extent of the COVID19 spread in US. Trump won’t
look good for his re-election if Wall Street crashes (which is already
happening anyway). And how would the US government cope with an
COVID19 outbreak in a country where people put individual liberty
above anything else. Lockdown of any scale is completely out of the
question. If you put Americans in quarantine forcefully, chances are
they will shoot their way out with automatic weapons. Sacrifice of a
bit of individual liberty for the common good is apparently too much
to ask.
No country in the world would risk the wrath of US by closing their
borders to Americans. But by April when Trump said this “democrat
hoax” would be over, I would make sure that I’m at least 2 m from
anyone coming from US.
