How does it look if you take out the ruby and make the GE red? You could stylize the GE to make them look ruby/gem-like. I think with the 5 and the ruby there's already a lot of accent like elements, and making anything else stand out would make it all too busy and overwhelming. We might not have the right to use the ruby image anyway, although I think that may also apply to the block M or even its particular shade of yellow.
