Hi Joel. I'm happy to hear it's booting for you! I've already translated the patches over to x86 and they do help boot time, but I couldn't tell you off hand where they went. I think we have a mercurial repository with those in it someplace. When you say "bring up", does that include init scripts? You probably don't need those and can save a lot of time just directly starting whatever workload you want to simulate, assuming you're not doing that already.
