This is my first time to use gem5.I had some problems when I used the gem5 in full system. I want to run a complex multithread application on gem5. So I chose to run it with full system. I want to test this application with 12 cores which must be used with Big Tsunami kernel. So I compile an alpha linux system by myself http://gem5.org/Linux_kernel. It worked fine when I used 4 cores to test the kernel. However, it didn’t work when I set the cores numbers to 12. The simulator always showed "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 0000000000000000". I found I also need to modify PAL code http://gem5.org/Frequently_Asked_Questions. Does anyone know what is PAL code? Are there any other files I need to modify? Thanks in advance, Zhen.
