Hi Nilay,

Is this the M5 processor engine full-system mode?

Thanks,

 Hi,

I have found in gem5's wiki that it currently only supports
**application**
only. I am interested in simulating parallel applications with the
operating
system influence. This requires the simulator to model the parallel
synchronizations and operating system effects faithfully. Does anyone know
if this is possible with gem5?

In full system mode, you can boot Linux. After booting, a simulation script
can be used to run applications.

Carole, I don't understand your question. Let me quote the documentation here -- gem5 can simulate a complete system with devices and an operating system in full system mode (FS mode), or user space only programs where system services are provided directly by the simulator in syscall emulation mode (SE mode).

If this is not the answer you are looking for, you need to elaborate on your question.
