We're called gem5 now. As far as your actual question, X86_SE should work with O3 but not InOrder. I have patches which get X86_FS working with O3 to the point where it can boot Linux. Those aren't in yet so you'll need to wait a little while for O3. InOrder doesn't support X86_FS either.
