Hello, I wish to dynamically characterize a code and to find its behaviour. For ex: I can instrument the code in the commit or retire stage in a O3 processor and build statistics on it. For this I need to instrument the simulator or modify some parts. I am a beginner with Gem5 and going through the code for some time...I wish to know 1. Whether Gem5 ALPHA_FS already has the dynamic instruction statistics ? 2. If no, then can you suggest me where should i look for to add these information in the code and what can be the ideal start for this?
