try "ldd path/to/binary/". If it shows some .so files them you built
it as shared.

I added the "-static" to COPTIMIZE, CXXOPTIMIZE, FOPTIMIZE in the
config file (linux64-amd64-gcc42.cfg) which is used by runspe command.
Try that.
