I am new to gem5, and it took me little while to figure out the basics of how gem5 initializes and begins the actual execution of the binary. To make this process easier for others who might be new to gem5, I created a figure showing the sequence of function calls for the "Hello, World" example given on the wiki. I can update the figure if there are any errors or additions that anyone thinks might be good. Please let me know. I hope this is of some use to others. I know it would've made it much easier for me to get a grasp on the basics.
