I am trying to track why this error occurs, but have not been successful so far. I have been told that if you roll back to some previous version, then the error goes away. You can try to bisect the range of the revisions
of gem5 and check which one is the culprit.

Everyone,

I am new to gem5 and I am having a problem getting x86 Full System to
finishing booting when running with smp turned on. I have replicated this
problem with the kernels provided on the gem5 download site and with a
kernel I built.

I am unsure how to proceed here since I am new. Any help on this would be
appreciated.

The command I am using is:
~/Downloads/gem5/gem5$ build/X86/gem5.opt configs/example/fs.py -n 2
--kernel=/home/jlclemon/**Downloads/gem5/SystemFiles/**
x86-system/binaries/x86_64-**vmlinux-2.6.28.4.smp

And the output from Gem5 is:
