Hello, everyone.

Recently, I began to use the simulator GEM5, and I have encountered some issues
which I could not fix.

And I notice that someone also have encountered the same problems a few months
ago, however, I did not find the answer in the mail list.

The error I got is like this:

I run a multicore system in X86_SE or ALPHA_SE, the benchmark is spec2006.

At first, I set the PhysicalMemory(range=AddrRange("512MB"). I get error like
this:

fatal:out of memory, please increase size of physical memory.

Then,I increase the physical memory from 512MB to 4096MB(or even larger). It
could work.

However, if I want to take checkpoint first, increasing the physical memory
larger than 2048MB will bring some mistakes.

Looks like the checkpoint will loss some information about address(the file
"system.physmem.physmem" in cpt.xxxxxx is much smaller than normal state) ,
then, when resume from the checkpoint,it can not work.

So, if keep the physical memory smaller than 2048MB, it will out of memory, if
I
increase the physical memory, take-checkpoint can not work normal.

Could anybody help me ?

Thank you.

Best Regards.

WangLei.
