My first reaction would have been to check if mentioning the absolute path
of the m5 binary works. I am guessing you already did that.

-o m5.o -c m5.c

-o m5op_arm.o -c m5op_arm.S
arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc -o m5 m5.o m5op_arm.o
But i am still seeing the same error message.
Is this what you meant by compiling it statically?
