Hi Nilay
1) I tried increasing the memory in FSConfig to 2047MB 2) I tried to use
timing simple CPU instead of detailed 3) I tried to decrease the number of
objects (number of L2 Cache banks, number of directories) hoping that the
simulation consumes less resources
I am running the simulation on my personal laptop with 3GB ram (the
simulation never takes more than 600MB of the 2047MB) and 2.4GHz core2 duo
the simulation is run for Alpha ISA with BigTsunami and the patched PAL
code existing on PARSEC benchmark web page
Why do you think any of these things that you tried should lead to the
operating system booting successfully? Why don't you try to figure out what
is going on in the simulator?
Try out booting with atomic cpu and classic memory system. If that works,
then try out with timing cpu.
