Hi Tayyar,

For more information about device tree blobs you can refer to:
http://devicetree.org/Device_Tree_Usage

There should be documentation in the kernel source about dtb files as well
(Documentation/devicetree).
Other than that I would suggest having a look at arch/arm/boot/dts for examples
of device trees for other hardware platforms.

What your dtb will look like depends on what your system looks like, as it
serves as a lookup table for the kernel to see what address each device has.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

René

Subject: Re: [gem5-users] Compiling linux kernel for gem5 ARM

Hi Ali,

Thanks a lot for getting back to me! Could you give me any pointers on how I
can build a dtb for gem5 and a 3.7 kernel? This is actually the error that I
got when I tried to run a compiler 3.7 kernel. Would highly appreciate any
pointers.

Thanks,

Tayyar
