Just type in the gem5 binary without any arguments. It gives you a list of accepted parameters.
--stats-file=FILE Sets the output file for statistics [Default: stats.txt] --outdir=DIR, -d DIR Set the output directory to DIR [Default: m5out] I don't use ruby, so I don't know how to rename that stats file.
