Check the version of gem5 you are using. I was using the stable version and
after updating it to a newest version many benchmark started to work.

Also I ran the benchmark compiled for myself. Maybe you would include the
errors you receive, mine was resolved after update the simulator and
increasing the memory used by the simulator.
