Hi there,

I tried to run ARM Android full-system in gem5, ran some BBench and
Asimbench applications, and observed the influence of off-chip memory
accesses on performance. However, when I checked the statistics files of
gem5, I found the majority of memory accesses are from "realview.clcd". It
takes up to 90% of the whole accesses, which is really significant.

However, I do not even know what the "realview.clcd" is and how it works. I
googled it on the internet and found that the realview seemed to be a
platform. I am still quite confused about what it is and what it is for,
especially why it takes so large percentage of the whole off-chip memory
accesses. Is it necessary and does it make a huge influence on the total
performance of the applications?

I wish that some ones could help me clarify that term, and its influence on
simulation.

Thanks very much.
