Hi, thanks for your response - that helped me to get a first overview. Do you (or somethine else) know if there is a way to trace packets through their way in the network - so to see which components are passed?

I've found the classes of the network itself (Network, SimpleNetwork, NetworkInterface & NetworkLink). I've also found that the packets are first passed to the port of the CPU and that this port uses the sequencer to deploy the packet to the cache controller. But I didn't found out how these components are connected together and in which order they are used. Could someone please show me the layers or explain me the correct order of them?
