Hi All, I have a tough time booting a 64 core X86 system with MOESI hammer protocol . The kernel system hangs after getting to a particular point.
The error occurs only with MOESI hammer and runs fine with MESI Two Level directory. I also noticed that the error is not happening with a 4 core system (even with MOESI hammer, haven't checked for other core counts). I have attached the details. Kindly let me know if this is a Gem5 bug associated with MOESI hammer or the issue is associated with the kernel and how to fix it. Also is there any other way to create a check point for X86 64 core FS (other than using MOESI hammer) ???? Details: I have tried using 2.6.22.9 smp kernel and 2.6.32.
