This topic seems to pop up every now and again, so let me give my usual
response:

Why do you need DRAMSim2? If you, for what ever reason, need to use
DRAMSim2, there is already a wrapper in gem5. Just clone the DRAMSim2 repo
to the ext/dramsim2 directory and follow the directions there.

That said, gem5 has a very capable DRAM controller model integrated
already, and it is an order of magnitude faster than DRAMSim2 (and in my
view the gem5 controller models a more realistic behaviour). Thus, I
really see no need to use DRAMSim2.
