Hello, I've been facing a strange behavior with the --machine-type=VExpress_EMM option in FS mode. In a very simple configuration, I run a bench that should run 20M instructions (checked in an ARM board). With this machine although, it runs 170-350 M instructions. Even if the result of the execution is correctly, it seem that the kernel noise is very intense. I tried to put 'sleep N', N = 10, 100 and 10000 before the bench call, but with very similar behaviors.
The problem is not from the kernel (tried 3.14 and 3.13), nor from the file system (tried Matrix distribution and Ubuntu 11.04). On the other hand, --machine-type=RealView_PBX works as expected, but the drawback is the 256MB limitation of DRAM. Has someone faced similar problems? Regards, -- Fernando A.
