Hi Anirudh,

ALPHA is not supported by much software anymore... The support in gem5 is
limited, and is all based on Linux kernels from 5+ years ago.

If you're having problems with a kernel, you may want to look at the gentoo
support for ALPHA, which seems to still exist (
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Alpha/FAQ). I would be surprised if Linux >
2.6 works.
