Hi Xijing. I don't think anyone has gotten x86 and caches and locking/atomic instructions to fully work, so it's just a known bug in gem5 at the moment. If you want to simulate that sort of system, I would suggest using ARM if possible. We'd love to fix this at some point, but there are a lot of things to work on and only so many people to work on them :-/.
