Hi I tried out a few trivial sets of examples on gem5 as per your suggestion.
1. I used the CPP file handling to read the /sys/devices/system/cpu/possible and print the content. This gave an output of 0-1 which is right since I was using a 2 core gem5 configuration. 2. I used the system function to "cat" the contents of the same file in this program. It failed. Gave an abort and gave the following error: warn: ignoring syscall mprotect(...) warn: ignoring syscall mprotect(...) warn: ignoring syscall mprotect(...) warn: ignoring syscall rt_sigaction(...) warn: ignoring syscall rt_sigaction(...) warn: ignoring syscall rt_sigprocmask(...) (further warnings will be suppressed) warn: PowerState: Already in the requested power state, request ignored warn: User mode does not have SPSR warn: User mode does not have SPSR panic: panic condition !handled occurred: Page table fault when accessing virtual address 0x3fffbb1e80 Memory Usage: 8553040 KBytes Program aborted at tick 1061222000 I suppose SE is not supporting such calls ? _______________________________________________ gem5-users mailing list -- gem5-users@gem5.org To unsubscribe send an email to gem5-users-le...@gem5.org %(web_page_url)slistinfo%(cgiext)s/%(_internal_name)s
