I agree with Nate: - You should use 2.0b5 if you can - It's really hard to debug the snippet of output you give without the "simplesim.py" or "runshort.py" script that you are using. If you attach those, then maybe we can get a better idea of why your SimObjects aren't instantiating or connecting up correctly...
