The real problem isn't clear from your description.  If you've changed the
Bus model, one way to figure out if it the problem is in your changes or in
M5 is to see if your simulation works with the original M5 code without your
changes.

Turning on some trace flags (see
http://m5sim.org/wiki/index.php/Debugging_M5) is the best way to see what's
going on in your simulation.

M5 is totally deterministic as far as we know, so if you're seeing real
non-determinism that's a major issue.  Often that comes from using
uninitialized variables.
